It's pretty funny that this has become a Stella Blu blog.. It was really supposed to be a journal of our lives. So let me tell you what has been happening. In April, Doug lost his job at the agency he had been with for seven years. I would say it was a sign of how everyone is having a hard time in this recession our country has been going through. It was a hard couple months but God has always provided for our family and this time was really no exception.
Well, last week Doug was offered a new position at a new agency as National Marketing Director. We are truly thrilled and can't wait to see what the future holds.
As for me (jenae) I am still doing my business and working on staff at the church. This year my plans are to expand my business and really focus on learning more about what it takes to run a small biz!! I have some great ideas that I can't wait to start on!!
As for Stella... She is having fun. Here is a really bad camera phone video of her singing. I sometimes take her out on the porch to sit in our rocking chair late at night. I sing her this old song, "beautiful,beautiful..Jesus is beautiful. And Jesus makes beautiful things of my life. He's patiently loving me causing my eyes to see that Jesus makes beautiful things of my life."
Stella would always get so quiet as I sang to her . Then one day we were outside and she piped up and said "Mama, Beautiful...chair" she pointed to the rocking chair and she wanted me to rock her and sing. So I did and she started to sing with me.. I was so shocked.. 1) i didn't know she could even pronounce beautiful.. let alone sing.. well here is some video we shot of her singing and being herself..
BTW- the hat she HAS to wear was made for her when she was a newborn by my friend Aimee Viall.. I think she would totally laugh if she saw her in it!!

Stella has been growing so fast!! And so has her vocabulary (she's sooo chatty). Her favorite words are: nope, no thank you, and no way. She also says I love you (which makes up for any naughty behavior). She's counting to 15 and knows all the letters of the alphabet...I think she learned all that stuff because she wants to be in all the adult conversations. She is so funny, every time we spell anything you can see the wheels turning in her head!!
Unfortunately, she refuses to talk around other people until she has known you for at least an hour and has time to size you up.
Stella definitely keeps us on our toes.. in a good way! We are so glad she is in our lives.
Since every entry is better with a picture here is one from our Worship in the Park event our church was involved in!!
